In this issue we will be featuring CL429. Indulge the kids in frothie heaven this summer. As the summer holidays approach, keeping the kids amused for six weeks seems like a daunting task. An endless stream of kid’s parties can take some organising and it’s often hard to come up with fun and exciting ideas to keep exploring minds occupied. However, help is at hand from Kenwood with the Frothie Hot & Cold Drinks Maker. This fantastic machine can whip up an endless variety of summer drinks including milkshakes at the touch of a button and is a great way to smuggle calcium goodness into kids’ diets!

For exciting and cooling summer drinks, simply add milk to whatever ingredients they want, whether that’s mixed fruit, flavoured syrups or cocoa, and whip up some Frothie fun! You can get the kids involved and really let their imaginations run wild – why not add a touch of green food colouring to a milkshake to appeal to their gruesome sense of humour? Or let them add smarties or caramel chocolate bars to create a milky drink with a difference.

Capable of frothing up to 8 cups at once, you will be able to keep lots of kids happy with each batch of cold frothie drink. Simply pop the ingredients into the goblet, press the ‘Frothy Mix’ button and a few minutes later your creation will be ready to dispense from the non-drip tap! Feature Recipe

Chocolate Coconut Macaroons

Ingredients:

• 3 egg whites
• 100g castor sugar
• 160g dessicated coconut
• 2 tbsp sifted cocoa powder
• Chocolate for melting and coating half the macaroons

Method:

1. Combine all ingredients and mix together in a Kenwood kitchen machine.
2. Roll into tiny balls 3cms wide and placed onto a greased tray.
3. Bake at 180°C for 15 – 20 minutes until golden. Cool and dip ½ into pre melted chocolate. Once chocolate has set store in an air tight container.
